Weta Workshop Head of Manufacture Rob Gillies reveals what his job consists during an interview with our host Alexandra Heilbron in Wellington, New Zealand and tells how he became part of Weta in 2000. A New Zealand native, he discusses the many challenges his team encountered on Ghost in the Shell, calling the end result hugely rewarding. He also reveals that the team made latex booties for the title character to wear in Pete’s Dragon while running barefoot through the woods. He also gives details on the 3D printing they used to create props for Ghost in the Shell.
