I just loved this movie and I would highly recommend that both children and adults see this move. It could be a real tear jerker at times but an excellent story and especially for those husky dog lovers like myself.

I bawled my eyes out. I have a siberian. I came home and gave her a great big hug! I liked the movie, but don`t think I could handle watching it again.

Eight Below really goes back to the great Disney movies of the past. I personally found the story, the script and the acting extremely good, especially the dogs,my hat comes off to the amazing dog trainers who really made the movie possible. I am a great dog lover,I have 5 myself and this ia a film that can even make a grown man cry...Because I did!

Awsome movie a bit slow in some part but in all a five star movie totally worth going to see in theatres. A bit fake in the whale part but those are tho only flaws and hats off to the dogs in there great acting

This movie was wonderfully, sad, happy, thrilling!! The most poignant part was when Maya made Max (I believe) "Leader of the Pack". All the dogs/trainers should receive Acadamy Awards!! Great casting as well. Anything new in the movies for the dogs?? Can`t wait for the DVD!!

User review rating: 0 March 28, 2006

i think it was outstanding, i would watch it again and again!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE DOGS!!!! it is a must see movie!

User review rating: 0 March 27, 2006

I knew of the story behind the movie before I saw Disney`s take on the story and I was happily impressed with the result. The thing with the Frescia soda was a bit lame but the movie is worth seeing and enjoyable!

It was a great movie. Couldn`t quite give it a five because it bogged down just a little when back in America before returning. A must see on the big screen.

I LOVED this movie. So much so that I saw it twice in theaters! I don`t usually buy DVD`s but I am so going to buy this one. I read a comment that someone thought it was scary and hard to follow... first off watch House Of Wax and tell me Eight Below is scary...and hard to follow..yeah maybe if you were 2. Anyway DEFINATELY worth seeing...GREAT MOVIE!

Touching,great movie.

Great movie, hubby & I thoroughly enjoyed it...a real tear jerker. Don`t blame the movie folks for taking license with the truth though as I`d read that in the real story, there was just poor one dog that managed to survive its ordeal but hey, the fact that ANY domestic dog could have survived that long, under those conditions, is a miracle in itself! Maya, the lead dog, kind of got to us as she was almost the spitting image of our own first dog, except ours was an Alaskan Malamute (RIP) while Maya is a Siberian Husky. Similar breed, same wolf-grey colouring, different size. Our only real complaint? Absolutely the WORST computer-generated

User review rating: 0 March 22, 2006

Absolutely a great movie, but bring some tissue because you will be needing it! Made me appreciate my own dog even more.

User review rating: 0 March 21, 2006

cool and it`s true story and the dogs we like and they are cute. And everyone loves the movie 8-be-low and that`s number 1#.

This was an AWESOME movie, especially for dog-lovers. and fer the major dog-lovers, it could possibly be a tear-dripper. Fer me, it got me crying my eyes out! *i have a husky myself ;)

I don`t generally go to see movies like this in theaters, but my brother and I went and it was amazing. Great movie, great actors both human and animal. It makes me appreciate our canines even more. They are amazing creatures and they know how to act as well!!

User review rating: 0 March 20, 2006

I have never fell asleep in a movie in my life I fell asleep at the part where the dogs walking and the people were talke and over and over the only people I know who liked it where girls.

User review rating: 0 March 20, 2006

Great movie! Tear jerker, though...bring Kleenex. Beautifully cast, human and canine. Nice to see such great Canadian connections. I heard the dogs originally came from Huntsville, Ontario. The canine perspective was very well done but very emotionally charged. Well worth seeing on the big screen.

User review rating: 0 March 16, 2006

This is a fantastic movie. My husband and I are avid movie goers. We thought Eight Below was strictly a kids movie so we took our daughter and were very surprised to see how much we enjoyed it as well. It took me back to my childhood. We thoroughly loved it and wish that there were more movies like this that we could see as a family.

eight below rocks this movie rocks

User review rating: 0 March 12, 2006

Wow! This has got to be one of the best movies I`ve seen in the last year (for an animal one... lol). I cried at least 3 times during this movie... and that doesn`t happen often when I watch films like this. The film had a few comedic moments too... lots of suspense. Amazing performances by all the dogs, and the `human` cast did extremely well. Esp. Paul Walker... you can actually see that he connected w/ the dogs quite well. GREAT film! A must-see for everyone. :)

Beautiful movie, shows the relationship of love that developes between man & dogs. Took me away to another place like a good movie should.

User review rating: 0 March 10, 2006

oh my goodness it was sooooooo sad i cried soo hard...i havent cried that hard in a movie soo much....poor old jack i liked him....it was sooo good you have to see it

User review rating: 0 March 10, 2006

The dog performers were wonderful. This movie is a lovely illustration of the divine bond between humans and dogs, and the resourcefulness and sheer will-to-live of animals will have you cheering. :) Poor Jason Biggs is relegated to comic relief, but he does the job. :) I ran home to hug and kiss my dog after seeing this movie!
