Born in Hong Kong, Danny Pang is the younger twin of filmmaker Oxide Pang Chun by 15 minutes. He first started his career as an actor with a guest appearance in the Belgian Dutch language comedy series Freddytex in 1994. By 1998, the twins had moved to Bangkok and teamed up to make Danny's first film and Oxide's second—Bangkok Dangerous (1999).
