No one in this movie can act.

User review rating: 1 October 10, 2012

A major disappointment.

Anyway you look at it, this is a BAAAD movie.

Zero stars! I hated - HATED! - this pretentious and melodramatic time-waster! There's absolutely no story, and Emma Watson makes Kristen Stewart look like Meryl Streep! BOOOOOOOOO!

A steaming pile of poo.

User review rating: 5 October 09, 2012

absolutely amazing. moving and inspiring, easily relatable to teens and the struggles they go through in their adolescent youth, was very true to the amazing novel and could not have been better. the actors, script, directing, all was absolutely phenomenal :)

One giant pile of poo.

Bring lots of air freshener, this one stinks.

Zero stars! I've seen better acting at the Republican National Convention!

One of the most moving films I've seen in awhile; all authors should direct their own movies about their books because they get it spot on. Acting was superb, and the cast altogether was just phenomenal! :)

JAWS 3-D was more entertaining (and had much better acting).

Emits a foul odor, so stay away!

User review rating: 1 September 30, 2012

Superficial at best and just plain dumb at worst. Save yourself the trouble and watch HEATHERS to see this done the right way.

User review rating: 2 September 30, 2012

The lead "actress" can't act. Everything else was fine.

User review rating: 1 September 30, 2012

Fails because Watson isn't a good enough actress to carry a film. The poster who said Anna Kendrick would have made this something special was absolutely correct.

User review rating: 0 September 30, 2012

Incredible! anyone who thinks that Emma Watson can't act is Wrong and people that think Anna Kendrick would be better are just stupid, she wouldn't have a made a difference and for one she 27 the character Is 17/18. Anyway although it seems it's just fir Teenagers. it deals with some pretty deep stuff and older people will enjoy this movie too. Go see it.

Not what I expected, but a very well done movie about two very painful subjects--suicide and child abuse. Kudos to the cast for such a great portrayal.

Emma Watson can't act; Anna Kendrick would have made this a movie worth seeing.

Spectacular,, I recommend everyone go see it, the acting was really good and convincing. The soundtrack is amazing, chbosky captures this timeless story flawlessly with every sight and word. Not many can take a book with such depth and keep the heart and soul alive when translating it to the big screen but it happened here. Go to a theatre check it out. Besides it'sbetter than the other trash that's out right now. :)

Great! Everyone in the film was fantastic.

Watson is more painful to watch than Kristen Stewart. Are there no real actresses anymore???
