Best. Theater. Ever!

March 18, 2017

Every time I go to the theater it is clean the staff is friendly and the popcorn is amazing. It is like my own personal escape to go to the theater. It is what I look forward to all week long.

Terrible lighting, staff "ignored" problem

March 12, 2018

The facility is clean, the seats are comfortable, the concession has expanded, and the tickets are cheap. My issue is that my movie was so dark that the other patrons and myself had a hard time seeing the show. During previews, I did report the issue to a staff member. She took a look and called someone on her radio to inform the, but the lighting issue was not resolved before nor during the movie. It was made worse by the 3D glasses, so my daughter's first 3D movie experience was not so fun.

I used to work here

December 30, 2018

I worked here when this was Kerasotes Showplace 16, and it was a fun place in a small town to go see movies. Then it was taken over by AMC Theatres. Now, everything in the last 2 years is three to four times more expensive. Movie prices are not much higher, but they will go up as AMC searches for the next cash grab from customers. They do not care too much about improving current movie experiences for customers (e.g. fixing sound, any small tears in screens). What they want is to build new theaters and offer drinks and cheaply made over-priced food, which means higher prices for tickets. It won't be long before ticket prices in this smaller town are 100% higher than they were 5 years ago. And executives wonder why younger generations stay at home to Redbox or settle for Netflix. Think about this: It costs at least $60-70 to take a family of four to the movies in a city like Chicago. They've managed to convince city folks to pay this much, and they know if they want to expand the bottom line, they must convince you to pay $10 or more for tickets and $20-30 for food and drink. The only way to discourage them from making it impossible for working families to afford going to the movies is to say you won't be going if they raise prices.

Terrible Customer service and closing times.

October 06, 2018

I went to the 10:45 pm showing of Venum. My friend arrived at 11pm and was not allowed it. I purchased his ticket. Saddy the manager stated they were closed and would not allow anyone else in. I asked for a refund and she stated I must come back tomorrow since they pulled the drawers AT 11pm. The movie started at 1045. This was ridiculous. Concessions close at 1030pm. My friend was not allowed in. Make matters worse the sound went out at end of the movie (theater 2). Both bonus scenes had no sound. Need updates and new management.

Down hill

October 22, 2017

This theatre has went downhill. It smells bad!! They locked their doors at 10:45 on a Saturday night. I guess 15 minutes after the last show started. There were so many customers trying to get in.

This theatre needs to be torn down and rebuilt

May 14, 2019

The theatre is a dump. It is old and needs to be remodeled. It's always dirty and the drink area is always sticky. I am a stubs member but would rather go elsewhere to view a movie.
