With her eye focused on the gym floor, this North Carolina native originally had big dreams as a gymnast. Starting her training early, Pressly went on to train gymnastics for 11 years. At the same time, she also had an interest in dance, inspired by her mother who owned a dance studio in their home town.
As Pressly grew older, her natural good looks did not go unnoticed and by the age of 14, she had a full-time modeling career. She appeared on covers of numerous teen magazines and modeled extensively throughout the States, Japan and Italy and was legally emancipated from her parents at age 15 so that she could work longer hours than legally enforced for children under the age of 18.
About the same time she started modeling fulltime, she took in her first onscreen experience. Playing Kara on an episode of Silk Stalkings in 1991, Pressly did not venture into the motion picture industry again for almost six years. When she did return, however, she did it in a big way. After a small appearance on the series Night Man, she found herself in full-length features like Poison Ivy: The New Seduction, Against the Law and Can't Hardly Wait. She made a number of appearances on Mortal Kombat: Conquest and landed a regular gig on Push, playing Nikki Lang.
In 1998 she garnered her first starring role in the film Ringmaster, a Jerry Springer vehicle starring the talk show host and focused on a show not unlike his own. The film, largely ignored by the viewing public, was followed by more respectable exposure on the television show Jack & Jill. Playing Audrey Griffin in the popular, but short-lived series, Pressly found her options increase tenfold.
By 2001 she landed starring roles in such big budget films as Tomcats, Joe Dirt and Not Another Teen Movie. She continues to act, with roles in features such as Torque (2004) and I Love You, Man (2009).
Married since 1998, Pressly presently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son, Dezi James. In her spare time, Pressly enjoys gardening and cooking.
