Just as his photography career is going strong, Romain, 31, finds out he has inoperable cancer. Knowing his chances of survival are slim, he refuses to be subjected to painful medical treatments. Opting to keep his prognosis a secret from his closest relations, he chooses to spend the last weeks of his life as he sees fit.
At a family dinner he blurts out cruel truths to his single-parent sister that upset not only his sibling but his parents as well. He then breaks up with his boyfriend and decides to visit his grandmother, the only person he trusts with the truth.
