Being a big fan of horror movies, I particularly like the older movies better, the new ones, just have too many obvious special effects that the older ones don`t have which kinda take the glory out of it, but TCM was really scary, I didn`t jump or scream or anything, but it did give me chills, and actually felt terrified and nervous during some scenes.

I loved it. It was an awesome movie and I think everyone that had part in makeing it done an excellent job. It is one of the best movies I have seen in awhile, not only because it was scary but because it was based on actual events that happened

User review rating: 0 October 26, 2003

coolest movie in the world but terifyingly true yicks!!!

User review rating: 0 October 26, 2003

I thought it was in interesting yet terrifying movie. Its crazy how the case is still open and the movie is actually a true story. I think thats why it was terrifying because it is all true and to think that they never caught the killer.

One of the most disgusting and brutal films ever. I am usually not afraid of horror movies, but this one was worth the nightmares!

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

most scary movie in the whole entire world

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

I thought it rocked!! I saw the origional Halloween by John Carpenter when I was 4 years old, and only enjoyed the classics like The Fog, Psycho, and Poltergeist. Nothing has come close to scaring me until the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Not only was it not as gory as half the Clive Barker movies, but it didn`t have witty one liners like Scream or dare I say, Cabin Fever!? I was shocked to read reviews where people thought the opposite!! Some people have no concept of a well made movie-

For the first time, in a long time, they finally made a REAL scary movie. It had me jumping out of my seat and my friends screaming. And none of us are scared easily. I was definitely impressed.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

I think its the best movie i had ever seen

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

this movie was awesome!!!!absolutely terrifying

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

The Movie was the most disgusting and scary films i will ever see.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

It was allright as remakes go, nothing special and forgetable as most horror movies are these days. And for you gullable types out there, it`s not a true story, it was "inspired by" an actual case thats all. Try and follow your history better before making wild claims.

SCARY!!!!!!!!! BRING YOUR BOYFRIENDS!!!

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

it`s was cool and scary, lol. everybody in the theatre moved a little at the same time people were looking at each other and laughing.......

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

I thought it was the scariest movie in my life! It was very gory and thats what i liked about it. i thought it was way better then the old movie and it had you jumping out of your seat. I am definitly going to see this movie again!!

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

I think that the character should of had some more details and the actors were different people that knew how to act. The story line although, was great knowing the fact that it is a 2003 movie...

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

The scariest movie of all time. Not even the exorcist made me jump off my seat.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

OK...Let`s clear all this up right now.....Yes , the Texas Chainsaw Massacre character, Leatherface, is BASED on a real life mass murderer named Ed Gein who did wear human skin masks....that`s about it...the movie is NOT a true story....the family in the movie did not exist in his world....also he was the inspiration for the movie Psycho........look it up

I think it was a good movie. We went to see it today and it kept us at the edge of our seats. I just would like to know was it really a real story and how can i find out more information about it. I would like to inform myself on what really happened.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

Scary! I left the theatre shaken and wondering could I have survived that horrible night.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

it will make you walk out of the theatres in shock and you will for a fact sleep with your lights on.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

We thought it was very scary, realistic at times. As a child I remember living in Texas, near Childers where this happened. The movie does drift from what really happened, but it was good anyway. I was expecting to see the truth where the flesh was barbequed and served to the public. That "IS" what really happened.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

It was terrifying. I literally crapped in my pants and jumped out of my seat countless times even though I have seen the original film a few times as well. The film was very well done and I think it was much better than the original. Even though the nature of the film is quite disturbing and grotesque, it keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time and the ending was as good as any horror film I have ever seen.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

It was scary. I wouldn`t advise anyone who doesn`t have the stomach for to go watch.

User review rating: 0 October 25, 2003

This was pretty good... BUT JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW.. THIS IS NOT A REAL STORY... This movie is a remake of a 1974 movie..based loosely on Ed Gein, a Wisconsin farmer who robbed graves , allegedly engaged in necrophilia and cannibalism, and murdered at least two women in the 1950s . In the movie..it says that the massacre in texas happened in 1973..that obviously dispells the original tcm made in 1974 to be based on a true story....either way..this remake was pretty good

Greatest Movie Way scarier than the ring, which was also really scary its is a must see BOOK IT FOR 3

User review rating: 0 October 24, 2003

Okay, time for some facts here. The original was LOOSELY based on the Ed Gein case. Tobe Hooper elaborated on many of the details and some things were outright made up. Gein DID wear women`s skin, he DID cannibalize his victims, and his house WAS decorated with bones and human skin lampshades. He also had one of his victims gutted, beheaded, and hung by her feet like a deer in his shed. There was no chainsaw. There was no psychotic family. There were no teenagers. Gein shot his victims. I don`t know what the remake was based on, but it certainly wasn`t reality. Quit being so gullible people.

User review rating: 0 October 24, 2003

It never happened people get over it. honestly do some research ur so gullible

User review rating: 0 October 24, 2003

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a waicked fun movie. It is loosly based off of serial killer, Eddie Gein, which makes it that more disturbing. This one was much better than the first, GO WATCH IT!
