Danish architect and professor Jan Gehl has recognized that modern cities repel human interaction, through research he conducted on human behavior in cities throughout 40 years. Despite this, 50 per cent of the global population lives in cities and by the year 2050, it will be 80 per cent. Gehl has discovered a way in which cities can be built to take the human need for inclusion and intimacy into account.

In this documentary, thinkers, architects and urban planners around the world are introduced, to find solutions to the problems we face such as peak oil, climate change, loneliness and severe health issues due to the urban way of life.
