British humour - interesting

Beautifully mounted tale of former ugly duckling turned dazzling beauty(Gemma Arterton)who returns to her birthplace to cause havoc among the locals.Amusing and fun, although slight.

I saw this movie at TIFF, the stars were there also. Pretty fun to watch, cute story.

This was a fun film! Very typical of a small community and how they deal with change.

I liked it; it's very funny, eye-catching and rivetting. It's a bit formulaic in parts but Stephen Frears knows what he's doing.

Great understated British comedy

Stephen Frears always makes interesting movies. A lot of fun in a wry British sort of way. Love the ending. Great ensemble cast and Gemma Arterton is sexy, warm and funny. For a very different performance catch her in Disappearance of Alice Creed.
