In Brussels, magistrate Anne Gruwez hears on a daily basis the testimony of various offenders, accompanied by their lawyers. Thieves, drug abusers, wife beaters, mothers who are charged with killing their own children, all get the attentive ear of magistrate Gruwez, who drives a vintage Citroën and divides her time between her daily cases and older cases.
Among them: the unsolved murder of two prostitutes 20 years earlier, for which new DNA testing has been ordered.
