I heard this was out and told my wife I need to watch this. I needed to watch it for a few reasons and most of which was nostalgia. But, also because I was genuinely curious about his life and the life of this iconic Canadian show. I have watched docs and the Mr Rogers movie but they failed to mention Earnie Coombs (of course because Americans don't know Mr. Dressup, but Canadians certainly knew of Mr. Rogers. What were the chances that these two individuals met each other in Pittsburg and Mr. Rogers asked Mr. Coombs to join him in Toronto for an opportunity they felt was once in a lifetime. Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood wouldn't be what it was without the CBC and Mr. Dressup wouldn't be what it was without Mr. Rogers! He was the Elvis or Michael Jackson of children entertainers in Canada and the show and his wife were his life. If you want to see the love he had for childrens entertainment and for his own family and how Canadians and his family loved him back, this will make you warm and fuzzy with feelings and ultimately make you cry.

Mr. Dressup rocked and Friendly Giant was even better. It made me wistful for the days when the CBC wasn't a completely malignant organization.
