Average Theater

While there is nothing about this theater that really keeps me from going, there isn't really anything all that great either. The best part about it is that it is the only one in town so there's no need to drive too far for a movie that you can save some money on by waiting for it to come out on Netflix. Anyway, while there isn't anything too great about this place there is nothing very bad, overall just an average small theater.

Only option in the area

Only theater in the area and it shows. They don't even use a films full title on their marquee often only using one or two words to describe a film. The 4 screen theater looks like it has seen an interior update sincrease 1990. "Boasts" 2 concessions counters (although only 1 has been used for the past 10 years). Concessions are standard fare: popcorn, drinks, candy, nachos etc. which is okay. Staff seems friendly enough although there only ever seem to be 2 or 3 people working the entire theater. The manager is... annoying. Managet once actively talked me out of prebuying tickets to avoid a line because there was "no need" came back for our movie and ending up waiting in line for 20minutes. Spends nights telling customers who bought tickets online that they'll still need to wait in line because they don't have a ticket taker working, he usually does this while doing nothing else besides sitting in a folding chair watching the ticket seller. If there was anywhere else to go I would recommend it. Baton Rogue is 90 minutes away, we sometimes drive down to catch big releases to avoid this theater. Not only are the theaters better but the prices are lower.

Very Unpleasant Manager and Theater

I purchased my ticket via Fandango to see Black Panther on February 19, 2018 at 12:30PM. When I arrived to the theater, there was a long line at the ticket box but since I bought my ticket online, I knew I could skip the line and go straight to the ticket taker and then go get my seat. That wasn’t the case. When I walked in, the Manager, who was at the ticket box, stuck his head out and shouted very rudely at me to “go stand in line”. I showed him my ticket on my phone and he said very rudely “I don’t have an usher so you need to stand in line”. The purpose of buying tickets online is to avoid the line. So not only did I have to wait in a long, slow line, I had to stand in the heat, and I wasn’t able to get a good seat. A woman walked came after me about 15 minutes later and walked in with her ticket on her phone and Villers yelled rudely at her too to go stand in line. I hate to make it a racial issue but myself and the lady after me are both African American. A 3rd lady, who was white walked in after greeted by Villers with a calm voice “Can I help you?”. Villers yelled rudely at the black people and was calm and nice with the white woman. This is unacceptable. Not only do we have to deal with the inconvenience of standing in line after purchasing an online ticket but we had to be yelled at line we weren’t valued as customers. This isn’t the first complaint about manager but it seems Regal doesn’t care or value their customers enough to make a change.

the employees se beaten down by tbe horrible manager. Hes rude. Harasses women. My child had to run to the car to get her medication and ge refused to let her back in, even with her ticket. Why, because surely she was up to simething. He searched her purse and she had a tiny bag(sandwich size) from a mall store with 1 pair or earings and for that she couldnt bring package(which was tucked in a small pocket inside her zipped purse) or her purse into the movie that we already paid for. She was 12 yrs old and this happened before i knew.we paid for a movie that we missed 30 minutes of and he refused to let us watch a later viewing. He said it was our choice to miss 30 minutes. He just kept saying she has a bag in her purse...its against the rules. Thing is he had zero right to search her. This is only 1 of the horrible incidents. Too long to type all the crap he's done. Theaters often has leaks when it rains, smell bad and, collapsing roof. Literely had water and debris fall on me. Ill drive an hour to go elsewhere

Terrible

This may be the only option in town, but it's not worth a $1.00 admission let alone the prices they charge. It's like a theater from the early '70s....just one that hasn't been cleaned or updated since opening day. And only 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. start times? I'll drive 90 minutes to see a movie after sitting through this "experience."
