Great local theater

June 08, 2023

Northridge Cinema is a great little local theater with updated reclining seats, self-serve popcorn which is awesome, and a bar! This is my go-to theater.

the new seating system doesn't work

January 28, 2018

I went by myself to see Darkest Hours. When you buy your tickets at the concession stand, you have to choose your seat. I didn't think too much about it, I just sat in a end seat in the middle. A couple came up to me and the man said I was sitting in his seat. I said you got to be joking? Their were only say about 25 people in the theater. He was nice and they sat behind me, I offered to move but they were fine. I noticed when I got my ticket it took the older couple in front of me, 5 minutes to pick out their seats. It really slows down the process even if you are just getting a ticket because people are also getting popcorn etc. I think if they have a very popular movie in peak times, a seating system works but not usually at this theater. Popcorn is good there. The should go back to selling tickets when you come into theater, not at the concession stand. Unless it's a time when their aren't very many people coming to movies.
