Cozy small theater

Very nice and quiet, nacho cheese taste not as good as others but still good. I like it because no one is ever really there!

How do these guys stay in business? =

August 09, 2018

I go to a lot of theaters around NYC. This one is pretty close to my house, so I walked there once. I arrived about 15 minutes before the movie was supposed to start to buy tickets. There was nobody running the ticket booth. They said they weren't even starting to sell tickets for that movie yet. After waiting in the roped off lobby, I buy my ticket (which isn't too expensive) and head to the concessions area. Food is moderately priced for a movie theater, but the popcorn tasted old and stale. The trailers that play before the movie did not start until about 5 minutes after the listed showtime. The seating arrangements in the auditorium was pretty bad. No slopes. The audio and picture quality was fine, though. I thought that maybe the staff was just having an off day that time. It happens, right? I went back about two weeks later and had all the same problems plus some. There was an empty bag of popcorn already in the seat next to where I was sitting when the movie started and I felt soda sticking to my sleeves on the armrest. Sanitation is clearly not a strong suit of the Kent. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this theater to anyone unless you like to wait to buy tickets, wait for your film to start, eat stale popcorn, and sit in a filthy auditorium.
