Reserved seating? Install recliners, then!
June 12, 2019
Used to be my go-to theater. Went over the weekend and they switched to reserved seating. I made the mistake of thinking this translated to recliners. My mistake. You're paying an upcharge over previous pricing for the same seats. PLUS a processing fee if you reserve online, which is pretty much necessary if it's a poplular movie. Previously people that arrived 30 minutes before showtime were rewarded with good seats. Now they get the dregs unless they've reserved in advance. If I'm going to lock myself into a seat I'd like to know I'm going to have enough room to not be crowded by the seathog next to me or constantly have to stand up for the person that has to use the restroom 4 times during the film. Don't bother with reserved seating unless they're recliners. I got stuck behind someone who was pushing back so far in their seat it was touching my knees. Luckily there were other seats available so I just moved. For a dollar more just go to Arrowhead Harkins and reserve a seat you KNOW you'll be comfortable in. Used to be a 4-5* theater. Downgraded to a 2* by forcing customers to reserve their old, standard seating.
