WORST EXPERIENCE IN ANY SERVICE INDUSTRY

April 03, 2023

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I have never been more disappointed in a venue's customer service or management in my life. I bought tickets to see Dungeons & Dragons 2 weeks in advance as a special outing for my 11-year-old son. He wanted to see this long-awaited movie in D Box seats and we had the rare opportunity to see it without his younger brother, allowing us to splurge on a nicer theater and ticket than usual. We get to the theater 10 minutes before showtime and are told by the concession attendant that she "thinks" that the theater is shut down but isn't sure. She leaves to find her manager who had supposedly been "working on it" that morning then comes back while we all wait for him to arrive and verify the status of our movie. While we wait, I ask her when the theater went down and why there wasn't any notification sent out for people who had already purchased tickets. She said there was no way for them to do that and that it had just broken down that morning. I tell her how much of my personal information is required in order to purchase a ticket online and that surely there is some way to alert me, or at the very least, post something on their website. She doesn't respond and starts looking at her phone as if I'm boring her. I ask if the movie is showing in a different theater, and she says no, she doesn't think they have it at all. I try reassuring my very disappointed son when her manager finally graces us with his presence. The manager very coldly announces that the theater is, in fact, shut down and that if I'd like, he could issue us a refund. Completely taken aback by his lack of customer service, I tell him that yes, at the very least we would like our refund since you obviously can't deliver the service I paid for. He doesn't say anything back to that and just tells me to put in my card for the refund. I ask him for my tickets that the initial attendant had printed from our QR c
