KATHLEEN ROBERTSON

Date of Birth: July 8, 1973

This Hamilton, Ontario native knew what she wanted to be at an early age, and by the time she was ten years old, she signed up for acting classes. Two years later she made her television debut with a small role on the telefilm Out. She then landed the role of Tina Edison in the popular Canadian series, Maniac Mansion. This role earned her two nominations for Best Young Actress co-star from the Young Artist Awards.

By the mid-'90s she relocated to Los Angeles to work on another series, playing Claire Arnold on Beverly Hills 90210. The exposure led her to bigger and better roles in the feature film industry. After supporting roles in Nowhere (1997) and Dog Park (1998), she took the lead role in the romantic comedy, Splendor (1999).

The turn of the new millennium marked an incredible increase in the amount of work offered to Robertson. At least eight feature projects were completed, including Beautiful, Scary Movie II, Investigating Sex and I Am Sam in the first two years of the 2000s.

The Canadian actress was also seen in the crime drama Hollywoodland (2006), which starred Adrien Brody, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, and Bob Hoskins. On the big screen, she also played a role in the horror film The Vatican Tapes (2015).

In 2014, Kathleen won a Leo Award for her leading role as Colleen Howe in the television movie Mr. Hockey: The Gordie Howe Story (2013).

Television has kept this Canadian actress busy. She played Kitty O'Neill on the Starz series Boss from 2011 to 2012, was in several episodes as Jodi Morgan in the second season of the horror series Bates Motel in 2014, and played a starring role as Hildy Mulligan on Steven Bochko's TNT crime drama series Murder in the First — for which she received a 2015 Golden Maple Award nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series Broadcast in the US. Most recently, she plays a starring role as Charlie Anders on the CBC family drama Northern Rescue (2019).

On November 27, 2004, Kathleen married producer Chris Cowles. Almost four years later their son, William, was born.
