FRANCINE McDOUGALL

After working as a photographer for several years, Australian writer/director/producer Francine McDougall moved on to a career in commercial and music video production.

In 1996, she made her directorial/writing debut with the short film Pig! which collected over eight awards internationally, including Honorable Mention from Sundance.

McDougall went on to write, produce and direct a six-part documentary series called Mosaic which takes a look at the various communities and sub-cultures of Los Angeles.

She also produced a documentary on the life of legendary jazz singer Little Jimmy Scott called Little Jimmy Scott: Why Was I was Born?

Sugar & Spice, starring Mena Suvari, Marley Shelton and James Marsden, marks McDougall's feature film debut.
