CHRISTINA VIDAL

Date of Birth: November 18, 1981

Born in New York City, Christina Vidal grew up idolizing her sister Lisa, almost 16 years older, who was a successful actress by her early twenties. At 10, Christina auditioned for the big budget motion picture Life with Mikey (1993) and beat out hundreds of kids, many of them more experienced than her, to star opposite Michael J. Fox. She won two Young Artist awards for her work in the film-Most Promising New Youth Actress and Best Youth Actress Leading Role in a Motion Picture Comedy.

Guest appearances on The Cosby Mysteries and The Commish were followed by a supporting role in the critically acclaimed film, Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995). Her parents then enrolled her in the prestigious Fiorella H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in Manhattan.

At 16, Christina moved to Los Angeles when she was cast as Sophia del Bruno on the WB series Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher. When it ended, she kept busy with appearances on other shows before being cast as the title role in Nickelodeon's series Taina, about a Puerto Rican girl living in New York who wants to be a performer.

After a two-season run, Christina played roles in Chasing Papi and Freaky Friday (both 2003), then was cast as Deputy Gabriela Lopez in the ABC crime drama 10-8: Officers on Duty. Unfortunately, the series didn't last longer than a season, but Vidal returned to the big screen in the horror flick See No Evil (2006), opposite WWE wrestler Kane.

A talented singer, she recorded the song "Take Me Away" for the movie Freaky Friday (2003) and has since signed a deal with MCA records.

In her spare time, Christina enjoys bowling and dancing.
