ANGOURIE RICE

Date of Birth: January 1, 2001

Angourie Rice is an Australian actress best known for her work in the thriller These Final Hours (2013) and more recently the comedy The Nice Guys (2016) alongside megastars Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe.

Born in Perth, Australia to showbiz parents, director Jeremy Rice and actress Kate Rice, Angourie has been acting in television commercials and short films since she was a small child.

The young actress got her first movie job when she was just eight years old, in the short film Hidden Clouds (2009), soon followed by another short film called Mercy (2011). However, her big break came in 2012 when she was cast in the critically acclaimed short film Transmission, a role for which she won Best Actor at the St. Kilda Film Festival. Through Transmission, she also met director Zak Hilditch, who was so impressed with her work that he cast her in his follow up film These Final Hours (2013).

These Final Hours was Angourie's first major introduction to the mainstream industry and led to her being signed by William Morris Endeavor, a top U.S. talent agency. What followed was a string of TV appearances, the short film Coping (2013), the animated feature Walking with Dinosaurs (2013), and the Australian sci-fi flick Nowhere Boys: The Book of Shadows (2016).

The rising star made a splash as Ryan Gosling's daughter Holly in the cop comedy The Nice Guys (2016), followed by an appearance as Eliza Wishart in the coming-of-age drama Jasper Jones (2016). Since then, she starred in the romantic drama Every Day (2018), in which she plays a girl in love with a person whose identity changes every day.

Angourie lives in Melbourne, Australia with her parents. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her bicycle on the beach.
