LUSH honors Rob Stewart with limited edition Shark Fin soap

LUSH Shark Fin SoapTo honor the memory of late Sharkwater filmmaker Rob Stewart, and to continue his mission to save sharks and the ocean, LUSH has brought back their limited edition Shark Fin Soap.

Rob Stewart quickly found success when his first film, Sharkwater, was released in 2007. Dedicated to saving sharks from being killed for their fins, he soon found out that because 100 million sharks per year are killed, humans were in danger as well, due to the lack of oxygen. With their numbers dwindling, the small fish that made up their diet were increasing and eating the phytoplankton that produces 60 percent of the oxygen we breathe.

He followed Sharkwater up with the 2013 movie Revolution, and last year, his third film, Sharkwater Extinction, which takes a further look at why sharks are going missing and how they are ending up in products meant for humans and their pets, was released to a standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival and is now available on Amazon Prime following a stint in theaters.

When LUSH first released the Shark Fin Soap in 2011, it quickly sold out. They re-released it in 2015, but again, if you didn't act fast, you were out of luck. So now they're making the ocean blue soap, which features a paper shark fin on top, available again, but only for a limited time.

These lavender-lime waved shape bars sell out in the blink of an eye, so click here to buy on the LUSH website. A total of 100 percent of the sales from the Shark Fin Soap goes to support groups focused on shark conservation and healthy oceans. These apex predators keep our oceans in balance and without them, ecosystems are being damaged beyond repair for not just marine creatures, but humans as well.

Bonus: Every bar of Shark Fin Soap come with a free #SharkAttack sticker part.
