What a Mistake Mr.Begnini made! He could have just put Sub-Titles and leave the movie in Italian.,NO instead he DUBED the entire movie! I didn`t Like it at All.

"Lethal for kids and an unspeakable insult to adults, this unreleasable fiasco is a torture for all." -- Rex Reed, NEW YORK OBSERVER

"Benigni`s folly...In every sense of the word, the picture is just frightful; it will either terrify children or bore them to tears, and adults will be rightly appalled by it." -- Frank Swietek, ONE GUY`S OPINION

"The idea of 49-year-old Roberto Benigni playing the wooden boy Pinocchio is scary enough. The reality of the new live-action Pinocchio he directed, cowrote and starred in borders on the grotesque." -- John Monaghan, DETROIT FREE PRESS

disgusting acting, terrible plot, a desecration of a time-less classic

Had Lewis Carroll taken PCP before he wrote Alice in Wonderland, the result would have come close to this train wreck of horrific acting, nonsensical plotting, and the worst dubbing this side of 1973 Hong Kong. Abusive parents looking for an alternative to electrical-cord whippings and pepper-spray milkshakes are already counting down the days until this comes out on video.

Many Best Actor Oscar-winners have gone on to star in dubious projects. None has flamed out as spectacularly as Roberto Benigni, whose follow-up to the delightful Life Is Beautiful is the most horrid desecration of a fairy tale since the porn version of Little Red Riding Hood.
