lights on reclining seats are a HUGE DISTRACTION along with being forced to pick a reserved seat!!
July 28, 2017
My biggest complaint IS the new chairs. The lights on the adjustment switch is a MAJOR distraction. When the seats are not filled, which is often, especially during matinees, it is like having a theater full of cell phones on with the illuminations distracting as all get out. Multiple complaints to management AND their corporate office had zero effect. Also, being forced to select a reserved seat, especially during matinees, is crazy. Many times when I went to theaters, there would be someone talking, or eating food so loud it was distracting and rude, which I would then simply get up an move to another seat, far away. Now, it is like a jail cell. I write screenplays for a living, and used to go to movies every few weeks, now it is maybe once or twice a year. The experience of escaping into a film has been wrecked. You would think after all the complaints, for others along with myself, that the lights would go out once the movie started and reserved seats would not be forced.
