Stay Away

If I could put zero stars, I would. Do NOT waste your time or money at this place. Honestly, we are partly to blame for not turning around and walking out the minute we walked in. The place is a dump. Dirty, cluttered, poorly managed, hot, and overall just a sad excuse for a movie theater. We decided to give it a try because we were in from out of town and there wasn't much else to do. We saw online that the showtime was at 6:55 so we got there around 6:45. It looked completely abandoned. We walked to the window and it said to go inside to buy tickets. We went inside and there was one lady behind the counter, literally at a computer controlling the "movies" that were playing. We noticed that the doors to each theater were opened, which we thought odd, but thought maybe they just didn't have films playing. We realized later that it was because there were box fans in each doorway because there was no air conditioning. We went up to buy our "tickets" and she charged us $10 per ticket... Then she handed us printed off pieces of paper and stamped them. The back reads "$7.95 + $1.75 FEE". What?? So then we wait for our movie... while we are waiting, several people were coming and going and one came out a couple of times to say that the movie wasn't working or it was just sound and no picture, etc. Then she literally went into one of the rooms, made the people in there move to a different room, and then turned the movie on for us to watch in that theater.... ????? It was 20 minutes after the time it was supposed to start at this point. We went and sat down, careful not to trip over the CORDS in the walkway. There was trash all over the place. When the "movie" started, it was just a white screen with audio. It was CLEARLY a bootlegged film. We decided not to waste any more time. We went out and asked for a refund. She said there are no cash refunds and we told her that was fine because we paid with a credit card and

Filthy and Rundown Facilities and Poor Customer Service

MY UNPLEASANT PINE BLUFF CINEMA 8 EXPERIENCE I purchased a ticket and food from the concessions on October 1, 2017. I think that you would be interested to know that my experience did not meet either my expectations for customer service or cleanliness. Specifically, the following occurred: 1. The bathroom was filthy and unsanitary. There were dead roaches and toilet paper all over the floor. In addition, the soap dispensers in the bathroom were broken and there was no soap available. 2. The proprietor only sells overpriced, generic soft drinks and stale food at the concession stand. 3. It did not appear that the air conditioning system was working. It was hot and stuffy in the movie theatre. 4. The picture quality of the movie was poor. It seemed as if the movie was being played on a laptop computer or a smartphone. 5. There were children in the movie theatre showing the movie “It”. This was inappropriate because the movie is rated “R” and these children should not have been watching the movie without an adult present. While these may seem like trivial occurrences, they made my experience at the movie theatre very unpleasant. I found this level of service to be unacceptable. The people of Pine Bluff deserve decent customer service and clean facilities at their movie theatre.

WORST movie experience ever!!

We went to see a movie that was no longer available at theaters in Little Rock. When we arrived the box office was empty with a note to call the number listed for tickets. The lady on the phone told us to just come inside the theater. Once in, we found several people at the concession stand which was in need of some cleaning and repairs. Tickets and concessions were both sold here and this area appeared to be the control booth and office as well. We purchased our tickets and we're told to "wait a minute" because the clerk/owner was not sure which theater it was going to be in. After 10 minutes I asked again which theater and was told number 5. We were the only ones there for that movie and it looked as if that theater had not been used all day. After waiting for another 20 minutes with a black screen we went back up front only to be told they were having problems starting the movie and that their "key was wrong" another 15 minutes later (still looking at a black screen) I asked for a refund only to be told that they didn't give refunds but if I could wait until another movie to end they should be able to start our movie in that theater (that movie was only half over). Eventually after an hour of waiting for a movie that they apparently could not produce, I was given a refund. I wish that I could say we were the only ones with similar problems but we were not. If this place really is associated with Carmike theaters, they should seriously consider revoking that franchise license. I will NEVER go back.
