In Edwardian England, Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), a young, recently widowed lawyer, leaves his young son behind as he travels to a remote village to sort out the affairs of an estate left behind by its recently deceased owner.
As he spends time alone in the mansion, he begins to learn more about what the town is hiding and why they don't want him there. The mysterious and vengeful woman in black spares no one and it's up to Kipps to break her vicious cycle of terror. Based on the novel by Susan Hill.
