After the War

Bologna, 2002. When a judge arrives at a university to explain to students the merits of a reform of the labor law, he’s murdered on the steps of the school. The group claiming to be responsible for the attack bears the same name as that of a faction of left-wing terrorists led in the 1980s by Marco Lamberti.

Still wanted in Italy, he lives in France with Viola, his 16-year-old daughter. When the Italian authorities suspect him of sponsoring the new murder and demand his extradition, Lamberti, who has benefited during all this time from the protection of the Mitterrand doctrine, must flee.

Forced to follow him, Viola pays for the consequences of his past acts, just like the other members of the family, who remained in Italy.
