Christmas Giveaway: Star Wars The Life Day Cookbook

Our first Christmas giveaway this year is a brand new book titled Star Wars The Life Day Cookbook: Official Holiday Recipes from a Galaxy Far, Far Away.

This hardcover book, published November 9, 2021, includes 50 recipes and crafts across 128 pages, measuring 20.32 x 1.78 x 25.4 cm. The recipes include desserts such as Wookiee-Ookiees (gingerbread men in the shape of Wookiees), Kabatha Crisps, Wasaka Berry Pudding and Klatooine Crêpes.

The introduction is written by Cookie a.k.a. Chef Strono Tuggs, and the book not only includes photographs of the amazing food you can make inside, but illustrations featuring Star Wars characters.

Some of the yummy appetizers in the book include Yalbec Stingers, made from cream cheese, sour cream and spices as a filling for bell peppers. Prep time is only five minutes!

A side dish that has a difficulty of "medium" is made from russet and sweet potatoes, with butter, cheese, and spices. It has a prep time of 15 minutes and a cooking time of one hour. The end result looks scrumptious. Or, if you love bread, there are four pages (with three photos) devoted to making Rorkid Bread. For something colorful and fresh tasting, try the Cirilian Noodle Salad, which takes a total of only 25 minutes to make.

Main Courses are just as intriguing and delicious looking. Mushbloom Pie is apparently a favorite food for Wookiees, because their homeworld, Kashyyk, has plenty of luscious plant life to forage, and Wookiees consider mushblooms a delicacy.

All of this delicious food needs an equally tasty drink, and this cookbook offers plenty of suggestions, from Wroshyr Sap Cider to Bantha Milk Hot Chocolate, to Mudhorn Eggnog.

There's even a section called "How to Celebrate Life Day at Home" with instructions on making ornaments such as Life Day Orbs and Wookiee-Ookiee Salt Dough Ornaments. There's a Life Day Robe that's easy to make for you and your family/guests to wear, made from red fabric and red ribbon. No sewing needed, just a pair of scissors.
