This would be bad even if it was just a random fantasy series and not a total bastardization of Tolkien. Are you really so degenerated you push sociopathic narcissists as role models?

To the mentally challenged person who commented before me: Tolkien was a great writer and worldbuilder. This series s***ts all over his work. It´s not his fault the series is so bad.

Tolkien was a horrible writer. His prose style was lousy and he was completely ignorant of the principles of storytelling. But audiences of fantasy have no concerns of quality. Just give them their orcs and their gnomes and their dragons and they're happy. It's like distracting an infant with a keyring.

As a woman I´m offended by the current depiction of "strong female characters" in "enterntainment. There are other types of strenght than physical, you know? And annoying, arrogant characters presented as perfect and always being right are not relatable to anyone. It´s the insufferable coworker or boss archetype. Everyone hates these types of people. They are no heroes. Also, there are no black elves and dwarves. These are beings from European folklore and their looks are well known and described in Tolkien´s books. Just adapt some African mythology or fantasy if you want roles for black people.

Zero respect for the work of Tolkien, bad casting and constant manipulation of the reviews on the reviewing sites. You deserve to go bankrupt, Amazon!

This will become a part of the manual for moviemakers to teach them how to NOT adapt existing work.

No, it's because it's so amazing that they're letting you see the first two episodes on the big screen. And if you haven't seen it, why did you rate it one star?

Why is this getting such a short theatrical run? Is the studio convinced they have a stinker?
