OK, I'll admit I am an aging bike weenie who idolized Lemond in the day, that said, this is a well-done movie that is not "just" a bike nerd flick and if it is playing ANYwhere near you after you read this, GO SEE IT. Its frankly that well-done a biopic. Oh, was my first time at The Lyric, a great indie-multi venue!~

A truly incredible story. Not only did he have to overcome the grueling Tour de France but others who were working against him. And to come back from a gun shot wound - Amazing!

An in-depth look at what is now a vanished and certainly more-innocent age. Quite a batch of characters; LeMond is the main focus, but several other riders are interwoven into the tale. Even if you’re not a cycle-racing afficianado, the film is enjoyable and engaging for its human-story aspects & drama. The discussions about motivation, personal pain, and the tension between honor and self-serving artifice are quite engaging, and reveal a lot about the underlying motivations of different people in the film. What came after, of course, was the era of performance-enhancing drugs, an era cycling is only now moving out of.
