When a heart attack prevents his father from observing Ramadan, Mourad finds himself obliged to fast for him. However, this ritual may undermind the false identity he's establed as Dino, the Italian son of North African immigrants. In order to climb the corporate ladder and to impress Helen, his girlfriend of three years, Mourad, a sales manager at a luxury car dealership, has invented a happy childhood with his family in Rome. The plot thickens as he hopes to attain general management of the business and Helen forces him to meet her parents—his facade as Dino is in danger of being found out.
