Great ending to a terrific series. Kept my interet beginning to end. However, I think it is important to have seen the first two in the series to understand the plot.

It's really annoying that the DVDs don't come with English + English captions for the hearing impaired.

User review rating: 3 November 21, 2010

Slower than the first two movies.

This winds up the famous Millenium Trilogy written by Swede Niels Larsson.Like a Hollywood produced series of sequels ,each successive episode has emerged being something less than its predecessor.Where the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was intriguing, exciting and suspenseful,The Girl who Played with Fire was confusing and only intermittently compelling.Hornets'Nest is a slow-moving slog of a bore and a much truncated experience from that of reading the pulp novel. However,Noomi Rapace is still fiery and luminescent and Lisbeth is anything but a victim. Mikael Nykvist now inhabits the intrepid journalist role like a glove. These people are real adults-they are not superheroes- and they do reac

I liked the dark nature of the film. The actors were unknown and that made them that much better. Didn't mind the subtitles at all. The film is better than the book.

Liked the final installment of the trilogy.

So this 3rd in the trilogy was fabulous. The movie is filled with intrigue, drama, suspense, enough humour to make it plausible. You don't have to read the books to enjoy the films - the sub-titles added to my pleasure - I'm a sucker for a good foreign film. This trilogy is by far one of the best I've seen. I'll buy the set on DVD to add to my collection. Highly recommended with my 2 thumbs up!!!

Good movie to watch.

The trilogy ends with this mediocre screen offering--book three of the series was also the least appealing. Even though several of the book's subplots were left out of the movie, the film is seems overly long, yet short on suspense. While I usually avoid Hollywood remakes of foreign films, I am curious to see David Fincher's trilogy version starring Daniel Craig as Blomkvist.

The least interesting of the series. If you haven't read the book it's impossible to know what's going on.

I really like the story and the style of the movie! Go and see it!!

User review rating: 1 November 03, 2010

The acting was poor and the special effects were laughable (the CGI hornets looked like flying hot dogs!)

User review rating: 4 November 02, 2010

Captures your interest beginning to end.
