It's the end of summer, three months after the prom. Gaby and Fred are enjoying their time together. They're preparing for the world swimming championships which will be held in Quebec this year. This friendly competition brings together young swimmers from many countries, including the U.S., Germany, China and France.

Gaby and Fred have plans besides the competition for the upcoming week, but their love will be purt to the test when a former love of Gaby's turns up at the championships.

Gaby finds herself at a crucial point of her life where she has to choose whether to continue competing or follow another dream that she's cherished forever, but which seems impossible to everyone else—her dream to become an astronaut.
