a masterpeice, really, a great film, you stay sooooo interested the whole time through, everything just goes together soooo nicely, don't listen to the other guy, this movie is not choppy, everything that happened, was the way that the editor and the director planned it to. great film, really. 5 stars! and those are hard to come by!
wow... breathtaking, the story was portrayed marvelously, and by the time you are done the movie, you are like "wow", because you have been through this amazing journey, with fantastic acting. A great movie
Supposedly "based" on a true story.Too many choppy scenes with some lame acting.Very mediocre budget which shows in much of the movie. If you must, rent it and save 12$..
Really a choppy film. It would be ok for a rental, because there is a story to tell, but not for $10.
The previews for this look GREAT. But that's all it is... the preview was the BEST part of the movie. The movie itself SUCKED! It lacked transitions from scene-to-scene. The characters just disappeared without any follow-up. There was not "ANY...(read more)THING SPECIAL" about the movie. I wish I didn't see this + didn't pay for it. Was a complete waste of my time. Christian Bale is a great actor, but even a great actor couldn't SAVE this movie. The opening credits even looked CHEAP - like powerpoint CHEAP (blackscreen with white text fading in + out). Can't tell you how JIPPED and RIPED OFF I feel watching this. Don't the people who made the movie - don't they watch it a
Great, that's all i can really put it, simply great. Great plot and really makes you feel as if you were there. Herzog, you did good, you did good. This movie was definately worth the money!
This movie was very satisfying, dont expect action; expect excitement, thief, stealth, and expericing being there and you will easily find yourself loving this movie. Solid Summer Film. See it handsdown over the simpsons!
Awesome Movie. In a summer of blockbusters this is the best by far.
christain bale is just a great actor, he really has surprised me with this role and in that of the machinist and american psycho. the guy can act and is willing to risk his own health for his art!
boring. dont waste your money.
The story brought to life in Rescue Dawn is too awesome for words. Tracing the true-life events of a Navy pilot on his first top-secret mission to Laos in 1965, from his crash in jungle territory to his capture and torture by vicious captors to his harrowing escape to freedom, Rescue Dawn is the testament of one man's iron will to live and his courage in the face of death and dissolution. Christian Bale is outstanding in his role as Dieter Dengler, and with a strong supporting cast, pulls off a performance that easily rivals his role as Batman. Werner Herzog, director, skilfully and artfully blends art film sensitivity with Hollywood sensibility, satisfying the soul and fulfilling the spirit
