After visiting many countries and experiencing different cultures, filmmakers Olivier Higgins and Mélanie Carrier were embarrassed to realize that they knew almost nothing about First Nations people living in their own province. They decide to go meet them, crossing the North Shore of the St. Lawrence river on bicycle. On their trip they meet all kinds of people to try to get a firmer grasp on relations between Quebec’s aboriginal and non-aboriginal people.
