Really liked this movie. A deeply humanistic and yet still environmentally-minded take on everything in "Fort Mac". It's hard not to fall for the working class oil sands workers we meet who are all dealing with their own demons whilst finding escape through karaoke. And yet it'd be impossible watch the film without thinking about our own complicity in what we're doing to the planet. Not what I was expecting at all.
Not a totally bad movie, raises some good issues. Dan de Brabandere does not actually work for Syncrude so that makes me wonder how much other false information is in this film?
Time I'll never get back!!!
