First off, if you suspect someone is feeling overwhelmed or not acting themselves or maybe acting overboard “too happy” can be a lot of pain hiding behind a mask. Don’t be afraid to reality check your loved ones. Might just save their life! Emotional bittersweet closure… A bit predictable the way it plays out but suicide was unclear; how or why exactly it was carried out. Not until the end did I say “oh, ok!”. Idk if the omitted details were intentional or not but it made the whole thing seemed like it was unreal or senseless as to why she would just do it on a whim like that. Her life appeared idealistic. Why? When you have a young kid who you brought into the world? It’s a selfish act in that respect. I’d be mad at her too. Like I said, clarity answers those questions toward the end. But the worst thing is the tribute at the end; lead actor passed away from cancer obviously before film was released. A cancer that is often overlooked & aggressive. It explains her weight loss through filming. Too thin for someone at the prime of mid age. But it also makes her performance even more profound! It sucks to have GI issues; hits close to home & is debilitating! The fact that she got up & played that role w/ energy & every emotion w/ depths; I can only image she was pulling from her own raw feelings of her prognosis. OMG there’s one scene when the boy asks abt heaven & hell; she talks about how she thinks we have many many lives & keep coming back to learn until we get it right. But that nobody really knows what happens; he replied that we should know. Poignant. Then, she had tears. Felt real…other scenes talk abt living in the moment moving forward; not being stuck in the past. It’s a good movie! No overtones of sex scenes. More to imagination as it should be bcz it’s not abt all that; it’s abt the bond between them & that one person who tied them to that bond! Keep a tissue handy…it did bring me to tears.
