Maxime, Eric, Pierre-Christopher, Partheepan and Jimmy attend elementary schools in various disadvantaged districts of Montreal. With the other pupils in their respective classes, they take part in the development of a musical production inspired by Verdi's opera "A Masked Ball." From September to May, they learn the rudiments of music, song, dance and/or drama, in addition to overcoming the requirements of the stage... and the contingencies of everyday life.
