Leipzig in Autumn (Leipsig im Herbst) Movie Poster

"Leipzig in Autumn" is the most comprehensive documentary of the events surrounding the historical 1989 Monday demonstrations in Leipzig, East Germany.

After weeks of ever-increasing street protests, the filmmakers finally received permission from the state-owned studio to document these historic events on October 16, 1989, and filmed until the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The film includes interviews with demonstrators, members of the citizens' rights movement, police forces, church representatives, and bystanders in East Germany's peaceful revolution.
