Back in the '60s, girls swooned at the sight of him. The mere mention of his name provoked mass elation and hysteria. The legend? Michel Louvain, iconic Québecois pop vocalist for over 50 years. Today, most of the crooner's admirers are grandmothers, but their girlish passion has not waned.

With humility and tenderness, the film slips into the everyday life of women of various ages who have granted the cult hero, their ideal man, a prominent place in their heart, their world, their life. In their dreams, he's a caring friend and attentive confidant, and theirs, the greatest of love stories. In reality, they live an ordinary life, their youth far behind, their sentimental life sometimes permeated with solitude.

While observing the phenomenon of stardom, Ladies in Blue intimately portrays the lure of the unattainable, the universal desire for which sparkles deep within each of us.
