Headwaters Down: Tidal River
Following five friends traveling on the water, Tidal River tells the story of the final 110 miles of the James, stretching from Richmond to the Chesapeake Bay. A continuation of our first film, in which we took canoes from the headwaters of the James in the Blue Ridge Mountains 250 miles to our hometown in Richmond, Tidal River focuses on the widest and most historic section of the James. A place of environmental disaster and recovery, the tidal waters of the James surprise the crew with their beauty, complexity, and wisdom.
