His classmates call a high school boy, of German descent, a Nazi when his school is studying Anne Frank. Although the father came to Canada when he was in his 20s, so that he could leave racism behind, including the prejudices of his own German father, he now has to deal with his son’s insecurities around being German.
On a scheduled visit back to Germany for his son to meet his grandfather, he worries about protecting his son from his father's prejudices. He is caught in a different kind of sandwich generation. An interesting story about fathers and sons.
