First off I'm not a Democrat nor Republican. The movie "Death Of A Nation" is definitely a pro-right propaganda disaster aimed at providing a basis for talking points and for rescuing the current president. Problem is so little of it is actual truth. Yes, Democrats were for slavery during Civil War times but that began slowly changing after the year 1905. By the time the 1960's arrived there was a complete reversal of which parts of the country were supporting which political parties. Most reviews that are saying how great this movie is are also saying that there is factual evidence in this film. I did research and found that about 85% of the material in the movie has no factual support. Yes, the DNC is corrupt ~ but the RNC is now four or five times more corrupt. Perhaps the two parties can totally repair themselves, but if not, then hang on. It's gonna be a long and bumpy ride.

Poor docudrama with nearly ZERO facts, half-truths galore and skipping over the the truth that the Republicant Party has been placating you, deceiving you with their lies, brainwashing you with their right wing version of religion and worse. Cannot recommend this fairytale about American History.

Stuck around for half the movie but I'm a Republican who doesn't care for the twisting and distorting of history so I left. Don't bother with this one.

Once again here trots Dinesh D'Souza with yet another documentary. Loads of revisionism for his faithful and theories so full of conspiracy they are difficult for weaker minds to ignore. It's a loud and often mean choir he tends to preach at; a choir so thundering that it sometimes feels as though the ear drums may burst. D’Souza’s latest attempt to instill alternate history lessons in us are pretty much the same woeful methods he trotted out in previous movies. In fact, “Death of a Nation” is little more than a collection of well-known neocon conspiracy stories, in an attempt to paint Democrats as evil, Democrats as Nazis, Democrats as.... well, you get the idea. See this at the theater IF YOU MUST, but consider taking painkillers prior to your "Death" ticket purchase. It's murder.

If you’re considering writing about American history, it's always a great idea to learn the historical facts first in order to establish a truthful foundation. Cherrypicking only those portions you deem honest and trafficking in obvious propaganda will only serve to deepen political divides instead of deepening our understanding of the American past.

With this movie "Death of a Nation", Dinesh D'Souza believes he is exposing hidden history and truths. He believes he has created a great movie. He believes everyone should go to see it because even his chosen god is proud. All in all Mr. D'Souza believes far, far, FAR too much and knows so very little.

Clearly Dinesh D'Souza had a Bunyan sized axe to grind after having been convicted of a felony (though recently pardoned by Donald Trump). His latest effort is the bizarre “Death of a Nation,” where D’Souza compares Trump to Abraham Lincoln. The live action sequences during the film are downright laughable. Lines like, “Lincoln saved America the first time. And now, by tragic circumstances, Trump is in a similar situation.” ~AND~ “The progressive Democrats are the real racists. They are the true fascists. They want to steal our income. They want to steal our earnings and our wealth and our freedom and our lives.”, are ALSO laughable. All in all, there are simply too many laughs and too little valid historical information in "Death". My rating is 1 star.

I give this movie two stars but really it's more like 1.5 stars. I did laugh at times and one or two things rang true but not much beyond that.

The critics who claim there are revealed truths and historical accuracy throughout this film need to list every instance within this film where they saw such things. As a history buff and former (now retired) teacher I can tell you : there are only a few. The bulk of the movie is, in fact, just the opposite. I strongly suspect those on the political right are the ones making those type of 'full of historical accuracy' claims without providing LEGITIMATE sources of evidence.

The only thing stopping me from *christening* (pardon the pun), "Death of a Nation" one of the most vacuous cinematic efforts I've EVER seen in my life is the fact that I am not 100% certain that something as shabbily made and artistically devoid qualifies as a movie to begin with.

This movie is refreshing because it bring new ideas against the news that we continuously see in the regular media outlets: 93% negative about president Trump in accordance with a Harvard study. Dinesh presents a movie based on solid historical facts that none of his detractors have been able to contradict. And I challenge anybody making comments in here to do it. Instead of avoiding the debate and calling his adversaries the usual names names (racist, white supremacist, etc), he presents the historical facts about the Democratic party and the Left and their real intentions against the current president. I am impressed that an immigrant could love America so much to show all of us where we are heading if we let the totalitarian Left take control of this country. I like many other Trump supporters are behind strongly President Trump.

A hilarious yet dangerous 'history" lesson for everyone. I found all of the facts in this film to be 100% *FALSE* . (or to use a phrase the D'Souza sheeple & his pardoner use all too often...) 100% FAKE NEWS. There are still too many on the political right side who won't recognize the actual truth of how much the current administration is jeopardizing our American freedoms and our capitalism. Won't recognize that Donald J Trump is only for himself. Won't recognize that he's a liar and unstable and lacks intelligence we should expect from an American President. Anyone who agrees with this film should do their own research. During the 1860s, Republicans, who dominated northern states, orchestrated an ambitious expansion of FEDERAL power, helping to fund the transcontinental railroad, the state university system and the settlement of the West by homesteaders, and instating a national currency and protective tariff. Democrats, who dominated the South, opposed these measures. SHORTLY after the Civil War, Republicans passed laws that granted protections for African Americans but that would be one of the final measures they would take that, if it happened around 1900, would be called a "Democratic Party" measure. Sometime between @ 1869 and 1904 the Democratic party of small government became the party of larger federal government, and the Republican party of big government became committed to curbing federal. Between 1904 then and roughly 1930, all the other practices of the two parties flip-flopped. The Republicans became supporters of the Southerners, especially whites in the South, still massively upset with losing their slaves and therefore their free or low cost labor.

Even a sea cucumber with an IQ of 47 would know this movie is the actual FAKE NEWS. It's implications are way, WAY off base. The maker of this movie was a convicted criminal, pardoned by DJT, and then, cause he knew he'd get a pardon, he makes movie to repay 45. Not a good or interesting movie so I wouldn't waste your money or time. Go see "Eighth Grade", "Mission Impossible - Fallout" or "Alpha" instead.

Unbelievably BAD movie, one of the worst I've ever seen. The Orange Dotard and the political right members who think Trump is a good leader (or good human being) need to be shattered into a trillion microscopic pieces and buried with their best buddy Hitler. Then once Putin and Kim Jong Un kick the bucket, we can heap their nasty arses on top of Drumpf and the rest of the megalomaniac pieces of human waste.

Dinesh has pooped again ! The stanky odor you're smellin'? That's self proclaimed eduKKKater giving his fellow elephants yet another command performance to get 'em all stirred up. Prospective film making students need to attend "Death" in order to witness first hand how NOT to put a movie together. No one else need bother. *Really*. There's a thousand reasons this won't be in history books. It's full of half-truths and loads of misinformation. Real educators aren't interested in such things. The programming going on in in Trumpland is strong. But if you're thinking the prez is a REAL Republican, man you got fooled bigly. Unlike, D'Souza and Donnie, REAL Republicans are REAL men.

I have 4 university degrees. So, I am good at doing research. I don't take anyone's words for granted, not Dinesh or anyone else. I double checked many of the less known facts Dinesh presented in the movie. Unlike some of the anti-Dinesh's comments posted here, in which they claim that the movie is full of misinformation and lies, well, I could not find any misinformation or lies! I challenge anyone who makes such an irresponsible claim to show the proof!

Donald Trump pardoned con commentator & maker of this movie Dinesh D’Souza, who pleaded guilty in 2014 to making massive illegal campaign contributions. Trump also is considering a commutation and pardon for former Democratic Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. What do those two have in common? They were both prosecuted by district attorneys who are now serving duty in the current probe of whether the president colluded with Russia and obstructed justice. Guess when you're an American President who can't stop an investigation into yourself, the next best thing to do is take a wild, 4th grade-like swing at those appointed to probe into you & your dealings by pardoning people they previously found guilty. This movie and the president clearly have things in common. And FAR TOO MANY of those things aren't any good.

The truths and history of this great nation are spat upon by the producers/director as this movie drones on in the sound of continuous piffle. Fans who claim that there are no misconceptions and disinformation during this film need to pick up real textbooks and study truthful literature written by those who are known to be actual scholars, those who are also at the pinnacle of their fields of study related to these matters of history. D'Souza is an outright deceiver and liar, merely spewing that puke which the right wishes to believe. But let's face it. It's easy to hoodwink those who've been easily brainwashed to the point of claiming KNOWLEDGE, when it comes to whether or not a divine creator exists. The actual truth is, nobody knows. Nobody has knowledge when it comes to a purported god. The fim blather that SOUNDS believable is coming from people who traffic in making you believe in things until you reach the point where you begin to forget it's "about faith", and instead, claim it as knowledge. Only a few of Dinesh's claims are backed up with evidence. The other 183 (yes we are in the process of counting and researching!) are either totally false or unproven. Since we're working on a book, we're not going to list any other information in relation to our findings on this website. We're still counting though and our research continues.

There's only true history and this film ISN'T it. An attempt by Dinesh D'Souza to change the history books. This type of film would be mandatory viewing for all citizens of Russia had it been made there. Can't help but chortle at both the movie and those people who actually believe this is fact based. It constantly plays on emotions and uses manipulative lies in order to soothe the masses of conservative xtians who are still trying to save their own delusional buybull stories from whirlpooling down into oblivion. Our founding fathers would be ashamed of us now.
