Marita Lorenz knows what life is like on the run. After surviving the concentration camps in Bergen-Belsen, she traveled to the United States with her family soon after the war. In 1959, Marita arrived in Cuba, where she meets and falls in love with Fidel Castro. During their affair Marita becomes pregnant, but she is obliged to abort the child. When she returns to the United States, the CIA charges her with the assassination of her lover. Without enough evidence to convict her, the young woman carries out other missions of espionage to clear her name.
