Heartbreaking and beautiful. I felt so much for all the characters. Wonderful storytelling, something Hollywood needs more of.

The best gay movie this generation has to offer! The movie is romantic, raw, powerful, great story, cast and filmaking. The movie is exactly how I pictured it when I was reading the book a little over a year ago. It`s been many hours now since I saw it at a screening at work last night, yet I woke up reminiscing about the movie. A definite must see by ALL!!!

it was so romantic...yet so tragic. it left me and my friends talking about it for a while. the emotion in the movie was so raw that it made you ache for the characters of Jack twist and ennis and also their wifes. it was very touching and i can`t wait to buy it on video. it a beautiful yet tragic story and it played out on the screen beautifully. everybody should see the movie no matter thier sexual orientation. it was just beautiful and ful of emotion.

Wow, this movie was pretty amazing I have to say. Some says its slow, the pacing is deliberate for the movie, it happens over a long stretch of time. You really get into each charater. Powerfull scenes as simple as they may first appear, my girl and I were really pleased and kinda felt sad coming out of there...go see it.

It was the most queer & boring couple hours ever. kinda like parties thrown by Arts majors back in university. fun for some, bad for most

This movie reminded me that I am quite fed up of these blockbuster films with too much action scenes. Some people complained that the movie was too slow, and yet for me, I savored every moment and wanted more. Great cast with great performances.

It was an amazing tale of love, in it`s most raw and honest form.

Such a tragic story...

The movie was great, but the book is better. I did not know why the movie had to show Jake Gyllenhaal`s character being indiscreet with Heath Ledger`s when he could not get fulfilled with man-to-man sex. Otherwise, it was a great movie and all the main characters - Anne Hatheway, Michelle Williams, Jake Gyllenhaal, especially Heath Ledger - did great jobs and their performances delivered. I wish the movie will get nods at `Golden Globe` and `Oscar`. Great job Ang Lee!

Worst gay cowboy movie I`ve ever seen.

This movie was awesome. It is a compelling story that shows the love of two men, but more importantly how they deal with that in a society that does not tolerate it at all. Stellar performance from Heath Ledger, and Michelle Williams...This one is deep, make sure you watch it!

Times have changed! There are cowboy movies galore, but this one has a totally different edge to it. This movie not only has cinematographic beauty but is uncompromising in the portrayal of a love tested by cultural intolerance in the more contemporary sense. The subtleties of 2 masculine men finding paradise with each other is surprisingly sublime and eventually poignant. Except for Heath Legder`s occasional exagerated mumbling ( I had to prick my ears for the cowboy lingo) - Kudos to all the cast! And being a love story movie, the display of sexuality was very relevant to the story line. (gay,bi,hetro) Ang Lee takes a story of true love i

This movie has `Oscar` written all over it! The cinematography is beautiful, and the lead cast members all deliver solid performances. Heath Ledger in particular gives the best performance of his career thus far. Ang Lee has molded this story onto the silver screen with honesty, finesse and genuine emotion.
