After being told she has an inoperable brain tumor, Claire, a Lyon court judge, decides not to tell her husband or children. Knowing she doesn't have long to live, she doubles her efforts to defend the interests of the working poor who have been abused by credit companies.
While trying to help Celine, a debt-ridden single mom, she brings in Stéphane, a disillusioned colleague who shares her outrage, to assist with the case. A friendship develops between the two of them and Stéphane can't help but notice that Claire is growing weaker.
