In the official teaser trailer for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, we're thrust into a vivid and beautiful outer space reality. We're introduced to the film's protagonists, lovers and space police Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne), and catch a glimpse of a wildly imaginative world that includes a wealth of aliens and high-tech robots. There's one monster that is reminiscent of Star Wars' Jabba the Hutt, while several warthog-looking creatures also light up the screen.
The engaging imagery plays out to The Beatles' "Because," making it the first time a song by the iconic band has ever been licensed for use in a trailer. Near the end of the clip, Rihanna also appears as a blonde, Cabaret-style performer.
