In the trailer for the Spanish movie Summer 1993, Frida, 6, looks at her family's belongings, which have all been boxed up in their city apartment. As she's driven away, a friend runs behind, screaming goodbye. Frida wakes up in the morning to a rooster crowing. She and her younger cousin run around on the farm belonging to her aunt and uncle, who are kind to the little girl. Frida helps pick vegetables from the garden, learning the difference between cabbage and lettuce. However, Frida, who is still grieving her loss, has trouble fitting in at first.
