'Mulan' Teaser Trailer

In this teaser trailer for Disney's live-action adaptation of Mulan, we meet our titular character (played by Liu Yifei) returning home from a ride out in the countryside. Her mother greets her with the good news that the matchmaker has found her an auspicious match. Visibly disappointed by the news, her father (Tzi Ma) attempts to console her by saying it's what's best for the family and Mulan reluctantly agrees in order to bring honor to the family. The matchmaker then lists qualities befitting a bride while the trailer cuts back and forth between Mulan practicing martial arts and her preparation for the matchmaking ceremony, before transitioning to her military training. We see the rising conflict between the Chinese and the invading Huns with Mulan rising to the occasion to be the hero that China needs.
