In the official international trailer for Friend Request, we meet Laura, who is jogging. We see that she is popular, with a high number on her friends list. She then receives a friend request from a girl in her class, Marina, who is a loner and has zero friends. Laura is creeped out, but accepts her request. Laura then attends her birthday party with her friends, and posts the photos to her profile. Angered after seeing the pictures, Marina confronts her at school. Laura immediately unfriends the girl, but is shocked when she receives a video that shows Marina committing suicide. Frightening things begin to happen when the video repeatedly posts itself to Laura’s profile.
